Return & Refund Policy

Maximum 4X4 LLC
Effective Date: October 30, 2026

At Maximum 4X4, we strive to provide quality products, professional installation, and exceptional customer service. Due to the specialized nature of automotive parts, custom vehicle modifications, and installation services, all purchases, deposits, and payment arrangements are subject to the following policies.

By purchasing products, authorizing services, submitting a deposit, or entering into a payment arrangement with Maximum 4X4 LLC, you acknowledge and agree to the applicable terms outlined below.

1. General Returns

  • All returns require prior approval from Maximum 4X4.

  • Approved returns of regularly stocked merchandise are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

  • Products must be unused, uninstalled, undamaged, and in their original packaging, including all hardware, instructions, and accessories.

  • Products that have been installed, mounted, modified, used, or damaged after delivery are not eligible for return.

  • Shipping, freight, installation, removal, and associated labor expenses are non-refundable.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping and handling expenses unless otherwise required by law.

  • No cash refunds will be issued for discretionary returns. Approved returns will receive store credit only.

  • Store credit is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by law.

Maximum 4X4 reserves the right to decline discretionary returns that do not meet these requirements. Nothing in this policy limits remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

2. Special Orders & Non-Returnable Merchandise

ALL SPECIAL-ORDER ITEMS ARE FINAL SALE.

Special-order merchandise includes products ordered specifically for a customer or vehicle, regardless of whether the item is custom-manufactured or otherwise available through the manufacturer or distributor.

Special-order merchandise includes, but is not limited to:

  • Lift kits, suspension components, and steering components

  • Wheels, tires, and wheel-and-tire packages

  • Bumpers, armor, lighting, and electrical accessories

  • Custom-manufactured or made-to-order products

  • Vehicle-specific equipment and accessories

  • Fleet and commercial upfitting components

  • Products sourced specifically to fulfill a customer's order

Special-order merchandise is not eligible for cancellation, return, exchange, or refund once the order has been submitted to the supplier, except where required by law or expressly approved in writing by Maximum 4X4.

Electrical components, electronic modules, installed products, used parts, and custom-fabricated products are also final sale.

Manufacturer defects and warranty claims will be handled according to applicable manufacturer warranty procedures and legal requirements.

3. Deposits & Order Cancellations

Deposits are required for certain purchases, appointments, special orders, and installation services.

  • Standard appointment deposits may vary by service. Our Basic Leveling Service requires a $50 non-refundable appointment deposit when booked outside of a website payment plan.

  • Website payment plans require an initial deposit equal to 25% of the total purchase price.

  • Deposits are applied toward the customer's outstanding purchase or service balance.

  • Deposits identified as non-refundable at the time of payment are subject to that agreed condition, to the extent permitted by law.

  • Once special-order merchandise has been ordered, the customer remains responsible for applicable supplier cancellation fees, non-recoverable expenses, and other legally recoverable costs.

  • Cancellation of an appointment, purchase, or payment arrangement does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.

  • Maximum 4X4 may apply deposits toward applicable expenses, cancellation charges, and other legally recoverable amounts.

  • Any refund or restitution required by law will be provided in accordance with applicable requirements.

A deposit does not guarantee an installation date unless that date has been expressly confirmed by Maximum 4X4.

4. Website Payment Plans & Layaway Arrangements

THIS SECTION APPLIES TO PAYMENT PLANS OR LAYAWAY ARRANGEMENTS ADMINISTERED DIRECTLY BY MAXIMUM 4X4 LLC.

Customers who elect to use a website payment plan agree to the following conditions:

Initial Deposit & Payment Requirements

  • A 25% initial deposit is required to establish a website payment plan.

  • The remaining balance must be paid according to the payment schedule agreed upon at checkout.

  • All payments made are applied toward the customer's purchase balance, subject to the cancellation and default provisions outlined below.

  • Customers are responsible for completing their payment arrangements regardless of changes to their personal financial circumstances.

  • Payment-plan enrollment does not guarantee product availability indefinitely or reserve a specific installation date.

Installation Scheduling

  • Installation appointments will not be scheduled until the purchase balance has been paid in full.

  • Once the final payment has been received and cleared, Maximum 4X4 will contact the customer to arrange installation.

  • Installation dates are subject to shop availability, parts availability, and other scheduling considerations.

  • Selecting a payment plan does not reserve a specific installation date or guarantee immediate installation upon completion of payments.

Missed Payments, Defaults & Cancellations

The following circumstances may constitute default under a payment arrangement:

  • Failure to make a required payment by the agreed deadline

  • Declined or unsuccessful scheduled payments

  • Failure to complete the payment plan

  • Failure to respond to reasonable payment-related communications

  • Customer abandonment of the purchase or payment arrangement

  • Failure to attend an agreed appointment after completing the payment plan

  • Customer-requested cancellation of an unfinished payment arrangement

In the event of default, Maximum 4X4 reserves the right, subject to the applicable agreement and legal requirements, to:

  • Suspend or terminate the payment arrangement

  • Cancel the associated order or service reservation

  • Release reserved merchandise or appointment availability

  • Terminate promotional pricing or discounts associated with the canceled arrangement

  • Apply payments already received toward authorized services, committed merchandise, supplier charges, and reasonable, legally enforceable cancellation damages

  • Decline reinstatement of the canceled payment plan

Payments Already Made

Cancellation or default does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund of previous payments.

Amounts previously paid, including the initial 25% deposit, may be applied toward non-recoverable expenses, merchandise commitments, and other legally enforceable charges or damages resulting from cancellation or default.

Any amounts legally required to be refunded or returned to the customer will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

Maximum 4X4 is not obligated to reinstate canceled payment arrangements or restore expired promotional pricing.

Customers who anticipate difficulty completing their payment plan are encouraged to contact Maximum 4X4 before missing a scheduled payment.

5. Missed Appointments & Failure to Complete Purchases

Customers are responsible for attending scheduled appointments and communicating requested schedule changes in advance.

Failure to appear for an appointment, repeated rescheduling, or failure to complete a purchase may result in:

  • Cancellation of the scheduled appointment

  • Loss of the original appointment priority

  • Application of an agreed, legally enforceable cancellation or no-show fee

  • Application of deposits toward applicable expenses

  • Requirement of additional payment before rescheduling

  • Cancellation of an associated payment arrangement when permitted by the agreement

Special-order products remain subject to the final-sale provisions regardless of whether the customer completes installation.

Maximum 4X4 reserves the right to decline future appointments or payment arrangements following repeated defaults or missed appointments, subject to applicable law.

6. Third-Party Financing

Purchases completed through third-party financing providers, including Affirm and other participating lenders, are governed by the applicable financing agreement.

  • Financing approval and repayment obligations are determined by the financing provider.

  • Customers remain responsible for payments required under their financing agreement.

  • Maximum 4X4 cannot independently cancel, forgive, or modify a customer's financing obligation.

  • Financed purchases are not eligible for discretionary returns or cancellations unless expressly approved by Maximum 4X4 and permitted under the financing agreement.

  • Any authorized return, cancellation, refund, or adjustment will be processed in coordination with the financing provider.

  • Customers must continue making required payments unless and until their financing provider confirms an adjustment.

Third-party financing and Maximum 4X4's in-house website payment plans are separate payment arrangements and may be subject to different requirements.

7. Installed Products & Labor

All labor charges for completed work are final and non-refundable except where required by law or an applicable written warranty.

Once an installation or service has begun, the customer is responsible for authorized labor already performed, parts used, and applicable non-recoverable expenses.

Concerns regarding installation quality must be reported promptly so Maximum 4X4 has a reasonable opportunity to inspect the vehicle and address any covered workmanship issue.

Removal of an installed product does not automatically qualify the product or associated installation labor for a refund.

8. Warranty Claims & Defective Products

Products exhibiting a possible manufacturing defect may qualify for coverage under the applicable manufacturer's warranty.

  • Manufacturer warranty claims are subject to the manufacturer's requirements and approval.

  • A warranty claim does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund or replacement.

  • Labor required to remove or reinstall a defective product is not automatically covered by the manufacturer's parts warranty.

  • Customers must contact Maximum 4X4 before returning merchandise for warranty evaluation.

  • Warranty exclusions, installation-related coverage, and inspection requirements are outlined in our Terms of Service and applicable warranty documentation.

This policy does not eliminate any statutory warranty rights or other protections that cannot legally be waived.

9. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Customers agree to contact Maximum 4X4 to attempt resolution of billing concerns before initiating a payment dispute.

Maximum 4X4 reserves the right to provide signed estimates, payment agreements, invoices, communications, delivery confirmations, and other transaction records to payment processors or financing companies in response to disputed transactions.

Filing a payment dispute does not, by itself, cancel an otherwise valid contractual obligation. Nothing in this provision restricts a customer's legal right to dispute charges.
